Axium Manufacturing

SAGE Design-Build is proud to partner with Axium Packaging on their newest Lehigh Valley manufacturing facility in LVIP VII. The 136,000sf manufacturing facility, including 7,000sf of office space and 40,000sf of dedicated to plastics manufacturing, represents a major investment in the region.

By leveraging SAGE’s integrated Design-Build approach, the project combines efficiency, innovation, and collaboration to support Axium’s continued growth. Designed to align with Axium’s global facility standards, the building features a modern brand-consistent architectural aesthetic and high-performance industrial specifications. Features include 36’ clear heights, 50’ x 50’ bay spacing, precast concrete wall panels, ESFR fire protection, and a layout optimized for efficient manufacturing and distribution operations. A dedicated rail spur connects directly to the building, enhancing supply chain performance through streamlined delivery of raw materials.

Equally significant are the site development solutions that transformed this brownfield property into a long-term manufacturing asset. To prepare the site for development, SAGE implemented a comprehensive vapor mitigation system and utilized dynamic compaction to improve onsite soil conditions, creating a stable foundation designed to support the facility for decades to come.

Construction of the manufacturing shell building and office areas are successfully completed, creating a fully operational foundation for the next phase of the project. The plastics manufacturing fit-out is currently underway, bringing specialized production spaces, equipment infrastructure, and process-support systems online as Axium prepares for full manufacturing operations. Upon completion, the facility will further support Axium’s continued growth while contributing to the strength and expansion of the Lehigh Valley’s manufacturing sector.
